Rothenburg ob der Tauber – August 2003

Kerstin met us at the train station in Rothenburg ob der Tauber and stayed to tour with us the couple of days that we were there. After traveling for 22 hours we were ready to take it easy for a bit – so we took a stroll through the city, spent some time catching up with Kerstin, and had a relaxing dinner.

After dinner we took the “Night Watchman’s Tour” of the city and went back to our inn, the “Altfränkische Weinstube” and had a couple of beers with the Rothenburg English Conversation Club.

The three of us spent most of the next day exploring the city. We visited St. Jakobs Lutheran Church, took a walk on the city wall, explored the Mittelalterliches Kriminalmuseum (Medieval Crime Museum), and spent some time in the charming German Christmas Museum at Kathe Wohlfahrt’s Weihnachtsdorf.

When we left Rothenburg, Kerstin drove us to Wurzburg where we ate dinner and took a long walk though town. That evening LisaDiane and I began our train trip north to Denmark.
